Hoima City Stadium is a modern regional sports facility under development in Hoima City, Western Uganda, designed to support football, athletics, and large-scale community and national events. Strategically located in the Albertine Graben region, the stadium is positioned to serve as a key sports and events hub for Western Uganda and the wider Great Lakes region.

Developed as part of Uganda’s national sports infrastructure expansion, Hoima City Stadium is envisioned to meet CAF and FIFA standards, with a focus on hosting domestic league matches, regional tournaments, youth competitions, and national celebrations. The facility is also intended to play a complementary role in Uganda’s preparations for hosting major continental events, including AFCON 2027.

Once completed, the stadium will feature a modern football pitch, spectator stands, athlete and team facilities, media areas, VIP sections, and supporting infrastructure to enhance safety, accessibility, and fan experience. Beyond sport, Hoima City Stadium is expected to stimulate urban growth, tourism, and local economic development, reinforcing Hoima’s status as a rapidly growing city.
